I was fortunate enough to enjoy Muszikat-Shalom’s first visit to our
Center in August 2008. The musical performance was so uplifting to our
residents’ spirits. I saw a spark in several of the residents’ eyes
like I’d never seen since I’ve been employed by the Center. Some of
them seemed to be transported back in time and instantly became more
vibrant and alive.

I would be very pleased if City View Manor could become a site for
ongoing Muszikat-Shalom programming. During their first visit to City
View our residents sang along and tapped their toes. There are not
enough moments like this available to us to provide such enjoyable
programs for our residents.

As the Director of Activities for Menorah Park Center for the Aging
Adult Day Center, I seek meaningful and stimulating interactive
programs for our residents. Performers are a favorite of our
residents, whose tastes can be both discerning and diverse!
Muszikat-Shalom exceeded my expectations for such a program.
The performers were dynamic and engaging. The residents benefited from
recalling positive memories, getting physical activity of dancing
and/or toe tapping, and socializing with each other. I would highly
recommend the program for any group seeking an innovative and
stimulating program for seniors or other populations.
